Simple Classic Vintage 60s Navy Shantung Dress -
Look. We just added a colorful beaded necklace and some red shoes to this vintage 60s dress and it revved it right up. You see, not all basic navy dresses are Ann Taylor boring.
This one is pretty simple, to be sure. It's made from slubbed rayon that might have some silk in it. (It's nice--Spring/Summer weight.) This elegant dress has perfect short sleeves (not the dorky kind that come too close to your elbow), and a nice fitted waist. The skirt is slim and slenderizing. It's like our friend says, "This dress will not make you look fat." The waist is accented by a very long braided self-fabric belt.
The original owner cared about this dress. You know that because she added dress shields. (No funkah pit stains here, ladies.)
What we love most is that it's just so simple to accessorize this dress. We'd like to see it with some vivid green shoes or a mustard color.
You know how to work the things that are truly basic. You know how to integrate vintage into your wardrobe. You know that you need more dresses just like this one. You know, you should just buy it.
Perfect. No flaws found.
