Sleek Satin Trimmed Vintage 60s Black Cocktail Dress -
Our mannequin, Sabrina, loves this late 50s/early 60s classic Audrey dress. It's one of those "skinny dresses"--the kind that no matter when you wear it, you instantly look like you've lost five pounds.
Made of the softest crepe imaginable (it must have some silk in it) and trimmed with very modern looking flat bows at the shoulders and the back of the waist, this one is timeless Hepburn wear. The tone-on-tone contrast of matte and shiny elevate this to the best of the "effortlessly elegant" dress. Add nothing more than your smile and a pair of strappy satin shoes and you're set for any event.
There is a long black metal zipper in the back and the dress is lined with silky acetate.
This originally made its debut at Bonwit Teller, and without a doubt, this was expensive when new. Outstanding and surely no ordinary black dress, this is just the way we like our vintage dresses to be--modern and effortless.
Excellent. No flaws.
