Boho Folkloric Vintage 70s Young Edwardian Suit -
SOLD
When designers of the 70s looked to the 40s, they seemed to know just the right details to copy. In the case of this outstanding vintage 70s Young Edwardian suit, it's the jacket. It seems to channel vintage ski-wear. There's a nice metal zip up the front and a small dog-ear collar. The shoulders have just a slight puff to them while the waist seam is delightfully accented by a short, curvy peplum. We are smitten.
If the silhouette is the sundae, the details are the cherry on top of it. There's lush machine-embroidery enhancing the shoulders, cuffs and the skirt hem. Done in bright colors that pop against the black--red and yellow--this embroidery adds a folkloric tone to the ensemble. We're sure this is one of the best 70s suits. It's fresh, young, and totally wearable because you can pair each piece separately with other items in your closet. We can't imagine why this jacket wouldn't rock with jeans. And the skirt should really be wonderful with tall black boots.
We all need at least one nice black suit. Here's proof that a black suit doesn't have to be boring, really, now does it?
Condition:
EXCELLENT. The zipper is metal. Some of the black coating on it worn off--hardly a problem, but noted for clarity sake.
