Shirt waist dresses are great because they're very easy to wear. Add shoes, handbag and maybe some tights and you're set. This one is a home-sewn wonder in a most excellent print that's artful and atomic at once.

The dress has a winged collar and a long row of decorative black buttons. The best detail is seen at the waist--there is an inset triangle that's an edgey accent that seems to work perfectly with angular, jaggedy print. (See photo 4.)

The dress is made from a light weight but very durable blend of cotton and linen that, in addition to the fabu print, has a window pane texture to it. A nicely gored skirt moves perfectly on your body and allows for just the right amount of swing.
