Bubbly Vintage 60s Polka Dot Chiffon Party Dress -
SOLD
Big bubble polka dots dance around on this full skirted vintage late '50s/early '60s party dress. It's made from acetate that's covered with yards of floaty, sheer polka dotted chiffon. The three-quarter sleeves are slightly pouffy and close with rhinestone buttons near the elbow.
The colorway is exuberant. Huge polka dots in blue and green really pop against the white background. The skirt is voluminous. We've shown it with a crinoline that is not included in the sale. There is, however, a built-in light crinoline attached to the skirt, so you really don't need one unless you love having a seriously pouffy skirt.
This dress closes at the back with a long metal zipper in the back. Sleeves are sheer while the rest of the dress is lined in acetate.
Suitable for any festive occasion, it's hard to imagine anyone wearing this not being the center of attention. It's just so happy looking!
Condition:
VERY GOOD to GOOD. There was a small tear on the chiffon sleeve that has been repaired. (It was an inch long tear located on the back of the sleeve.) See last two close-up photos for details on this repair. It was carefully done and is there, but hard to notice considering the location and the amount of volume to the sleeves. There is a small spot on the underskirt not visible when worn. Original belt is missing. Otherwise, no stains or issues of note.
