Perky Plaid Vintage 50s Sun Dress with Bolero -
SOLD
One of the payoffs of being a vintage afficianado is that you often stumble upon many things are both humble and lovely. There are just so many wonderful, home sewn dresses lovingly crafted by a home sewist. This is one of them.
This vintage 50s dress is made of cotton. It features a saucy little ruched waist and rickrack trimmed bodice. Oh, how we adore rickrack. They just don't seem to care about rickrack these days and they should. It's charming and it's so much fun just to write the words! The cropped bolero jacket has short sleeves and more of the jaunty rickrack trim. Dark navy, red, white and evergreen colors make it this plaid stand out in a sea of florals and solids. The dress closes in back with a metal zipper.
Pert, perky and fun, this is a sun dress that is utterly, undeniably sweet and special. But don't worry. She's humble about that. After all, she's homemade.
