Cranbery Crepe Vintage 60s Bracelet Sleeve Dress -
SOLD
Simplicity is the key charm of this lovely cranberry colored vintage late 50s/early 60s dress. The dress is easy-going and straightforward. It exudes effortless elegance, modesty and good taste. It's not showy or bawdy--just right for a more buttoned-up affair.
The bodice has flange pleats at the shoulders that allow the wearer easy range of movement. The sleeves are bracelet length. Dare we say you'd do well to add some elegant jewels on your wrists?
Now, take a look at the little smattering of flowers on the bodice. That's trapunto work. It's slightly raised to give the design some dimensionality. Each flowery bow shape is perfectly top stitched and noticeably puffed in a delicate way.
The dress is by Mendel. It's got a side zipper as well as a zip at the neck, both made of nylon. The skirt drapes nicely and features a half-slip.
This is a nice simple dress in a fabulous color. Wouldn't it be fun to accessorize it? Imagine the possibilities. We cannot wait to see your results.
