This dress could just as easily be in our Dress category, as well as the Dressy Dress section. We'd like to think of it as the penultimate of '40s dress. Loaded with details and so utterly sophisticated and glamorous, this ornate crepe number is bound to win hearts all night and all day!
The dress is offered with its matching red bolero jacket. Note how the jacket is festooned with golden bullion embroidery and accented with small robin egg blue beads. Those embellishments are also seen on the gathered and tied pockets. Note the ruched shoulders and sleeves. Note the deco belt buckle. Note the totally gorgeous every single thing about this dress.
The dress closes with a side zipper and a zip at the neck. There are no labels in sight, but surely this creation is high end all the way! The details are astonishing.
What a delight it is to offer something so exceptional from the 1940s. If you love the '40s like we do, you better grab this one quick before someone else does.
Condition:
Very Good to Good. There's wear to the crepe on the belt. There is very faint underarm discoloration. It's hardly noticeable at all--and we are VERY particular about this issue.(Perhaps this could be remedied with drycleaning--but honestly--it is hard to see it.) The dress was possibly shortened.
