Cobalt Blue Vintage 50s Fitted Dress & Swing Jacket -
SOLD
Invite this vivid, cobalt blue dress and jacket into your life and find yourself the center of attention. If you've never had a signature color, this one will do nicely. It's a most memorable hue.
This vintage 50s fitted dress with matched jacket is as chic and voguish as they come. The understated and elegant dress has an attached ascot in a luminous taffeta of pewter and deep blue stripes. That neck tie matches the lining of the jacket. You'll love this striped accent as much as you love your signature blue dress, thinking of ways to flash those stripes any chance you might.
This is made of a mid weight wool blend. There's a skosh of give to the fabric so that it hugs your form gently. The dress is rather fitted with short sleeves and a defined waist seam. (This probably had a self-fabric belt at one time, but that's gone now.) The jacket is a swingy affair that has a nice full shawl collar. The sleeves are the kicker. They're belled--all wide and dramatic with wide cuffs and all.
Dress zips at the side and back of neck. Jacket closes with a single center snap.
What shade of blue is your signature color? This one, of course.
Condition:
Excellent. No flaws except for a few picks in the built-in ascot. Probably from wearing it with a pin. Dress is missing its belt.
