Crisp, bright and utterly pristine--here's a vintage '50s dress that deserves to be treated to a lovely casual afternoon out and about town. It's up to you where you want to take the dress, but surely a spin on your coaster bike followed by a light picnic lunch, and then a stop at the flower shop would be a great start to a perfect day.

This is one of those classic shirtwaisters (it even says so on the label.) It buttons most of the way up the dress and features classic June Cleaver styling. It's made of cotton. The dress is deepest navy and evergreen gingham that's machine embroidered with petite gray and royal blue paisleys. To make it even more festive, the dress has little blips of golden metallic threads woven into the fabric that sparkle in the sun.

This is made by that fab Florida company, Serbin. It's pleated and has the original self-fabric belt.
