Dramatic Vintage 50s Black and Pink Dress with Giant Buttons -

Great 50s Color Scheme! And Soutache, too!
If you want to wear a dress that has all the bells and whistles you'd see on I LOVE LUCY, this amazing button down dress with huge, nearly plate sized plastic buttons and soft pink faille trim ought to do it. If that's not enough, the nice, full gored skirt will surely set you free, Lucy. We have shown it with a crinoline for dramatic effect. It looks better without one.
Fitted through the sleeves and bodice, this black crepe dress has darts for a form fitting silhouette. It's got a defined waist seam that we've belted with a slim crepe belt. (This is not original to the dress and is not included.) It's likely that the original belt was much wider. The sleeves are trimmed in delicate petal pink file and decorated with scrolling soutache, or braided cord trim that has a three-dimensional look. The main draw? The plate size buttons. Each one is about 2" across. Each button hole is bound to perfection.

Condition:
Good to Fair. This is being sold AS IS with no returns. One side of the pink collar is yellowed. See photos for a clear picture of what this looks like from various angles. There's a white spot on the collar. It's less than 1/4" in diameter. The inside of the neckline is lightly soiled/yellowed. This likely doesn't show when it's worn, but needs to be noted. There is a pin prick sized hole in the dress in the back near the shoulder blade, but fairly close to the armpit. There's one small pick in the crepe. This presents well and would be great for display or costume. It's very dramatic.
